A number of independent businesses in a Newbury shopping mall have been thriving in recent years despite the setbacks caused by the pandemic.

Parkway Shopping have encouraged local independent retailers to fill empty units left by popular high street chains moving out.

Chains such as Monsoon, John Lewis and Superdry have closed their Newbury stores while a number of local businesses have found the shopping centre to be a haven.
